Bromeliad species can be grown in regular potting soil and do well in a porous, well-draining potting mixture. Bromeliads are a relatively slow-growing plant that take one to three years to mature! The vibrant colors on the common Bromeliad range from red to pink to yellow and beyond. These funky flowers will bring an eclectic and unique feel to your home, in addition to a vibrant pop of color.

Plant Care

Lighting: Keep your Bromeliad in bright, indirect sunlight. A western or southern window is ideal.

Temperature: Bromeliads do best in temperatures between 55 and 80°F, the temperatures of most homes and apartments generally speaking is ideal. They also love a humid environment.

Fertilizing: Fertilize sparingly, avoid feeding mature plants in winter or when the plant begins to flower.

Watering: Never let your Bromeliad sit in water, these are drought tolerant plants. Indoors, water them sparingly about once a week (or more depending on your light conditions)
