Our ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude and a can-do spirit. Gardening experience and a strong understanding of growing in our climate here in Florence, South Carolina is always a bonus, but we are more than happy to train the right fit for our team.

Full-Time Cashier

Position Type: Seasonal Full-Time

Responsibilities: 

• Operate Forest Lake Greenhouses' POS 
• Greet all customers with a smile and positive attitude
• Uphold all customer service expectations
• Create a seamless and smooth checkout process for all customers
• Work with other team members in a collaborative and productive manner
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Tidy and tend to the retail store during down time
• Learn FLG's store policies and communicate them with the customers as needed

Knowledge and Skills:

• Attention to detail
• Proactive and capable of finding projects to work on
• Strong communication skills
• Can-do positive attitude
• Ability to handle high-volume transactions
• Willingness to learn about plants, plant care, and plant products

Requirements:

• Willing to stand and move around for the duration of the shift
• Willing to work both indoor and outdoor registers
• Ability to work Saturdays
• Schedule flexibility during peak busy season (Spring: March through end of May)
